Course Learning Objectives:
- The student will be able to summarize the content in each of the historical books from Genesis to Esther and trace out the concept of Kingdom of God across the centuries of God’s work in and through Israel.
- The student will be able to list and discuss best practices for interpreting and applying Old Testament historical books.
- The student will be able to discuss faith and leadership principles gleaned from both positive and negative examples from the Judges, Samuel, Saul, David, Solomon, various kings from both the northern and southern kingdoms, prophets like Elijah, Elisha, and Micaiah, and post-exilic figures like Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther and Mordecai.
